Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presents Tet gifts to the poor in Vinh city
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of February 6 (December 21, Dinh Dau year), comrades Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation attended the program "Sharing Tet" Spring Mau Tuat 2018 and gave gifts to poor households and households in difficult circumstances in Ha Huy Tap ward (Vinh city).

For Ha Huy Tap ward, there are currently only 6 poor households and 10 near-poor households. However, the number of beneficiaries of social protection policies, victims of Agent Orange, and families in difficult circumstances is still large. The program "Sharing Tet Spring Mau Tuat" is organized with the desire to create a spreading influence throughout society towards and helping the poor, near-poor, and families in difficult circumstances during Tet.
Directly presenting gifts to 16 poor households and households in difficult circumstances, Comrade Cao Thi Hien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated this meaningful activity of Ha Huy Tap ward to share, encourage spiritually and provide material support to poor households, near-poor households, and families in difficult circumstances during the upcoming Lunar New Year of Mau Tuat. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council wished poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances a warm Tet holiday and good luck in the new year of Mau Tuat 2018.

On this occasion, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Tran Van Mao and Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Business Bloc Party Committee Doan Quang Nghi presented 20 gifts to families in difficult circumstances. At the same time, through social activities, organizations and individuals in the city supported 117 million VND and the ward's source supported 45 million VND to give to 85 poor, near-poor, disadvantaged households, and Agent Orange victims to celebrate Tet. On average, each poor household received 2 million VND and the remaining subjects received 1.5 million VND/household.
