Vice Chairman of Commune People's Council was shot dead while visiting coffee plantation

Due to personal conflict, a Vice Chairman of the People's Council in Lam Dong province was shot dead while visiting a coffee plantation.

The victim was Mr. Dinh Tien Sang, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Phi Lieng Commune, Dam Rong District. The initial cause of the murder was determined to be a personal conflict.

According to initial information, at around 10am on October 7, Mr. Sang and a woman named Huong were visiting a coffee garden, 3km from the center of Phi Lieng commune. There, Mr. Sang was shot dead by a man named Dung (about 40, residing in Dong Tam hamlet, Phi Lieng commune).

"When Ms. Huong heard the explosion and ran to Mr. Sang, she discovered that he was dead, with a bullet wound on his chest, so she reported it to the authorities," said Major Hung.

Upon receiving the information, Dam Rong District Police were present to block off the scene and coordinate with Lam Dong Province authorities to conduct an autopsy to investigate the cause of the murder.

After verification, on the afternoon of October 7, the investigation agency arrested the suspect who shot Mr. Sang.

According to a leader of the Criminal Police Department (Lam Dong Police), the investigation agency has initiated a case and ordered the temporary detention of suspect Dung to serve the investigation.
