Vice President of Vietnam Women's Union presented 45 Tet gifts in Quy Hop district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 8, in Quy Hop district, Ms. Tran Thi Huong - Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union and the working delegation visited and presented 45 Tet gifts to policy families and poor households in Chau Cuong commune. These are households affected by the flood in September 2016.

Chau Cuong is a commune under the 135 program of Quy Hop district, the poverty rate is up to 37.24%. In September 2016, Chau Cuong commune was severely affected by flash floods. The whole commune had 60 houses flooded, 2,500 poultry were swept away by floods, 3 temporary bridges, 3 km of roads were swept away, landslides; 32 hectares of summer-autumn rice were flooded and could not be harvested, causing damage of up to tens of billions of VND.
Here, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, comrade Tran Thi Huong presented 45 Tet gifts to families. Each gift is worth 500,000 VND, the total value is 22.5 million VND. This is a gesture showing the concern of the Party and State for people facing difficulties during the Tet holiday./.
