District Vice Chairman prosecuted for gambling
Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Vice Chairman of Hau Loc District People's Committee (Thanh Hoa) was prosecuted and detained for three months on charges of gambling, June 12.
The Investigation Police Agency (Thanh Hoa Provincial Police) said that three accomplices with Mr. Hoang were also prosecuted for the same crime: Le Duy Hung (53 years old, Head of the Finance Department of Hau Loc district), Tran Van Hung (46 years old, technical officer of warehouse K820, Technical Department of the Engineering Command, Ministry of National Defense) and Nguyen Van Duc (37 years old, Director of Duc Xuan private enterprise).

In the early morning of June 1, police raided an office at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Hau Loc district and caught four people red-handed gambling in the form of playing Phom. 92 million VND was confiscated on the spot.
The leader of Hau Loc district said that when receiving official notice from the investigation agency, he will suspend Mr. Long and Mr. Hung from work to serve the investigation.
