Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Nam Dinh attended the 1st Congress of Delegates, Nghe An Provincial People's Court Party Committee

In the past term, the Provincial People's Court Party Committee led and directed the Party cells of the People's Courts at two levels to strengthen the dissemination of the Party and State's guidelines and policies; uphold the spirit, protect the socialist legal system, and fight against negative and wrongful manifestations.

Implementing the policy of the Party and the Supreme People's Court, Nghe An Provincial People's Court has developed a project to reorganize the apparatus of 20 district-level People's Courts into 12 regional People's Courts - Nghe An.

After its establishment, the regional People's Courts soon stabilized and went into operation immediately to resolve the work.

In the last term, the People's Courts at two levels accepted 65,657 cases of all kinds, and resolved 62,823 cases, reaching a rate of 95%. Hundreds of experience-sharing sessions were held; 1,362 cases were tried online (100% of cases met the requirements according to Resolution No. 33 of the National Assembly, among the top in the country); 456 mobile trials were held.

Up to now, 58,293 judgments and decisions that must be made public have been made public, reaching a rate of 100%. Compared to the previous term, the number of cases accepted increased by 11,818 cases (up 18%), the number of cases resolved increased by 9,869 cases (up 16%).

The People's Courts at two levels have issued decisions to execute criminal sentences for 21,799/21,799 convicted people, a rate of 100%. Considered reducing the term of imprisonment, conditionally releasing 15,599 prisoners early. The convicts whose sentences were deferred or temporarily suspended were closely considered, ensuring compliance with the law.

Along with that, many administrative cases involving large groups of people and complicated cases were resolved. The number of judgments of the provincial court that were annulled or revised by the appellate and final review courts was about 0.4 - 0.5% per year on average (lower than the prescribed rate of 1.5%).

In addition, during the term, the Party Committee directed and led the Provincial People's Court to summarize the work of the People's Jury for the 2016-2021 term and coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province to consult and introduce to the Provincial People's Council, the People's Councils of districts and cities to elect 447 People's Jury for the 2021-2026 term (to date, there are 446 Jury). Annually, a training course on trial skills for People's Jury is organized.

From 2021 to 2025, the People's Court at 2 levels of Nghe An province received 25,730 petitions, of which 19,042 cases were transferred to mediation and dialogue at the Court; 17,852 cases were organized for mediation and dialogue. 7,450 cases were successfully mediated, reaching a rate of 41.73%.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Court determined to strengthen political and ideological education for civil servants and party members; propagate, disseminate, and seriously implement resolutions, directives, and guiding documents of the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and higher-level Party Committees to civil servants and party members.

At the same time, actively innovate and be creative in the leadership, direction and activities of Party committees and organizations at all levels; strengthen and improve the quality of inspection and supervision work...; ensure the direct and regular leadership of the Party Committee over organizations and unions; effectively coordinate between the Party Committee and the agency's leadership, and successfully complete assigned political tasks.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of Party Agencies, highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Court in the past term.

Entering the new term, comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh requested the Provincial People's Court Party Committee to continue to promote its central role in implementing judicial power; identify trial work as a key and continuous task; innovate leadership thinking towards improving quality and efficiency. Promote the role and responsibility of judges in implementing judicial power, protecting justice and human rights, as Uncle Ho instructed in the Letter to the National Judicial Conference in February 1948, which is to "serve the public, uphold the law, be fair and impartial"...

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also requested the Party Committee of the People's Court of Nghe An province to focus on building a suitable organizational model for the People's Court's operation, promoting efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency; strengthening training and fostering professional expertise and political theory for cadres and party members.

Closely coordinate with judicial agencies, especially the People's Procuracy, the Police, enforcement agencies and departments, branches, local Party committees and authorities in resolving cases, ensuring the consistency and effectiveness of the entire judicial system.

Promote the comprehensive leadership role of Party committees and organizations at all levels according to the new model. Do a good job of political and ideological education, associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Strengthen Party building in terms of ethics, maintain discipline and public ethics, resolutely fight against corruption and negativity within the Party. Strengthen inspection and supervision, especially regular supervision, focused inspection, strictly implement administrative discipline...

The Congress also announced the Decision to appoint the Party Executive Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Court for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 14 members; the Standing Committee consists of 4 members. Comrade Tran Ngoc Son continues to be appointed as Party Secretary.

In addition, the Congress also approved decisions to appoint Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Inspection Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Inspection Committee. Appointed delegates to attend the Congress of Party Committees of Provincial Party Agencies for the 2025-2030 term include 20 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.

At the end of the Congress, delegates also voted to pass the Resolution of the Party Congress of Nghe An Provincial People's Court for the 2025-2030 term.
