Visiting officers and soldiers of Tam Quang Border Guard Station, on behalf of the provincial delegation, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed about some socio-economic, defense - security results as well as Covid-19 prevention and control work in the province in 2021.

Tam Quang is a border commune adjacent to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, with a 24 km long border and 5 border markers and 6 signs. After listening to the unit's report, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements that the officers and soldiers of Tam Quang Border Guard Station have achieved, including many outstanding results such as: The unit has focused on successfully implementing the "dual" task: both firmly protecting sovereignty and border security, and effectively preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic. To successfully complete that task, the officers and soldiers of the unit have promoted their spirit, responsibility, will and strength; working hard to fight the epidemic and protect the border in conditions with many difficulties and shortages in many aspects.

Next, the delegation visited and wished a Happy New Year to poor households in Yen Tan village, Yen Hoa commune.

Yen Hoa is one of the poor communes under the Government's Program 30a. People here mainly live on agriculture, and economic and social conditions are still facing many difficulties. The whole commune has 1,123 households, 4,634 people, including 3 ethnic groups living together, of which ethnic minorities account for more than 87%, the rate of poor households is 29.56%, near-poor households is 19.00%; there are 169 households living in dilapidated houses.

Acknowledging and warmly praising and congratulating the results and achievements that the cadres, party members and people of Yen Hoa commune have achieved in the past year, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu said that Yen Hoa is still a commune with many favorable conditions for socio-economic development, is the socio-economic center of the communes in the inner region, and is a commune with a high average living standard compared to the general level of many communes in the district. The commune has achieved many criteria and is on the way to complete the construction of new rural areas in the district. Besides, there are still a number of households facing many difficulties in life, needing support, sharing, help and encouragement from the whole society so that they are not left behind, especially when Tet comes and Spring comes.
