On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), on the afternoon of February 25, a working delegation of Nghe An province led by Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and congratulated a number of medical units in Vinh city.

The main activities of the hospital are to examine and treat psychiatric diseases for people in Nghe An province and neighboring Laos. In addition, it is also responsible for implementing the program of preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases and mental health disorders in the community; maintaining and managing care for 10,540 schizophrenic patients and 3,011 epileptic patients in the community.
In 2024, the Hospital cooperated with the Vietnam Psychiatric Association and the Institute of Mental Health - Bach Mai Hospital to successfully organize the 3rd National Psychiatry Conference, which was highly appreciated by psychiatric hospitals nationwide, and 23 topics and grassroots scientific initiatives were accepted by the Nghe An Department of Health.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long acknowledged and commended the efforts that Nghe An Mental Hospital has achieved in recent times. Those efforts have contributed to promoting the fine tradition of the provincial health sector over the past 70 years.
In the coming time, he hopes that the hospital staff will continue to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, focusing on developing new and specialized techniques.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited and congratulated Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center. The Center was established in 2010, is a level II equivalent unit, provincial level, under the Nghe An Department of Health. The Center has two main tasks: receiving, preparing, storing, supplying, distributing blood and blood products to medical facilities in Nghe An province and neighboring areas. Examination and treatment of hematology specialties.
In recent times, despite many difficulties and challenges, especially the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the blood transfusion hematology model; the Center's activities have grown steadily.
In 2024, the Center was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee, achieving the title of excellent labor collective; Provincial Emulation Flag.
Congratulating the results that Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center has achieved in the past time, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long hopes that the staff of the Center will continue to promote a high sense of responsibility for their work, pay attention to building a united, dedicated team, and boldly apply new techniques in professional work. Especially in the preparation of blood products, step by step efforts will be made to approach and create breakthroughs in new fields.
The delegation also visited and congratulated the Nghe An Drug, Cosmetic and Food Testing Center. The center was established in 1967 and is a public service unit of group 3 in terms of autonomy and class 2 in terms of expertise.
Every year, the Center performs the task of inspecting and monitoring the quality of drugs, cosmetics, and functional foods, preventing counterfeit drugs and substandard drugs, contributing to disease prevention and treatment, and ensuring safety for users.
At the meeting, comrade Bui Dinh Long highly appreciated the efforts ofNghe An Drug, Cosmetic and Food Testing Center for many years. Especially in 2024, the unit discovered35 tested samples failed to meet quality standards (accounting for 1.4%), including 2 fake drug samples, contributing significantly to the work of caring for and protecting people's health.
