Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee visited two officers who were severely burned while fighting a forest fire.
According to information from Nghe An General Hospital, the condition of the two severely burned patients is stable and they are receiving intensive treatment.
On the morning of August 24, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and encouraged two officers of the Nghi Loc District Forest Protection Management Board who were severely burned while participating in fighting a forest fire. Accompanying him were Mr. Phung Thanh Vinh - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; leaders of the Department and the Forest Protection Sub-Department.

Previously, at noon on August 23, a fire broke out in the pine forest area of hamlet 14, Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district. The authorities mobilized more than 200 people to fight the fire; the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Provincial Police directed the mobilization of 1 fire truck to coordinate in fighting the fire.

Due to the terrain conditions, hot weather, and strong winds, it was difficult to contain and extinguish the pine forest fire; the fire lasted from 9am to 2pm on August 23 before it was extinguished. Over 2 hectares of pine forest, about 30 years old, were damaged.
During the fire fighting process, two officers of the Nghi Loc District Forest Protection Management Board suffered severe burns and were taken to Nghe An Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment.
According to information from the hospital, the condition of the two officers is basically stable. Patient Hoang Van Sum is being treated at the Burn Department; Patient Trinh Van Ha has more severe burns and is being treated at the Surgical Intensive Care Department.

Visiting and encouraging the two officers, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De praised the active participation of the comrades in fighting the forest fire; encouraged the two officers and their families to be assured and try to cooperate with the treating doctors and nurses to recover quickly. The province will pay attention to creating all conditions for the officers to be treated to the best of their ability. At the same time, he requested the hospital leaders to direct the focus on actively and effectively treating the officers who were burned while on duty.
