Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De inspected the organic orange growing model in Thanh Chuong district.
On December 3, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the organic orange production model in Thanh Duc commune and the winter squash growing model in Hanh Lam commune (Thanh Chuong). He was accompanied by leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Currently, Thanh Chuong district has successfully built organic orange growing models with an area of over 25 hectares, selling at high prices, from 45,000 to 65,000 VND/kg. This locality is gradually expanding the organic orange growing area to increase the economic value of this citrus fruit.
Comrade Nguyen Van De also came to inspect the winter squash growing model. This is the second year that people here have concentrated squash growing on an area of 3 hectares, with squash yield reaching 35-40 tons/hectare, with a selling price of 6-7 thousand/kg, each hectare of squash brings in an income of about 200 million VND.
After the inspection, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and local authorities to continue to replicate organic orange growing models, grow oranges in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner; promote to expand the market for organic oranges. At the same time, replicate concentrated commodity production models in the winter crop, link with businesses and chain stores to stably and sustainably consume agricultural products for farmers.
