Đến nay, huyện Quỳnh Lưu đã gieo được khoảng hơn 4.000 ha lúa trong tổng diện tích trên 7.400 ha lúa vụ xuân, dự kiến tiến độ sản xuất đảm bảo lịch khung thời vụ đã đề ra, trên địa bàn sẽ hoàn thành gieo cấy trước ngày 30/1. Là vùng chuyên canh rau, toàn huyện cũng đã gieo trồng được 650 ha/ kế hoạch 1.600 ha rau màu vụ xuân. Thời tiết thuận lợi nên rau màu và lúa đều sinh trưởng và phát triển tốt, gần như 100% diện tích mạ được phủ nilon nên không có thiệt hại do rét và không xảy ra tình trạng thiếu mạ cấy như nhiều năm trước.
Thăm mô hình bắc mạ cấy tại xã Diễn Liên, huyện Diễn Châu, Phó Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh cùng đoàn công tác đánh giá cao việc chấp hành nghiêm túc các biện pháp kỹ thuật của bà con nông dân. Đến nay, toàn huyện đã gieo cấy khoảng 50% diện tích và theo dự kiến huyện Diễn Châu sẽ hoàn thành sản xuất vụ xuân trước ngày 28/1. Hiện Phòng Nông nghiệp và Phát triển nông thôn huyện đang tham mưu UBND huyện tiếp tục hỗ trợ thực hiện chiến dịch Toàn dân diệt chuột để bảo vệ sản xuất vụ xuân.
Tại huyện Yên Thành, sau khi thăm mô hình đưa máy cấy vào gieo cấy tại xã Nam Thành, đoàn công tác đã đi kiểm tra tình hình sản xuất cây cam tại xã Đồng Thành. Hiện Yên Thành có trên 340 ha cam phát triển tốt, đem lại thu nhập và giá trị cao cho nông dân các xã miền núi Đồng Thành, Minh Thành…
