Commune Vice Chairman was assaulted by drug addicts in front of the headquarters gate

(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, (January 10, 2017), a man suddenly attacked and assaulted Mr. Vi Quy Nam - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chieu Luu Commune (Ky Son, Nghe An) right in front of the gate of the commune People's Committee headquarters.

According to our sources, at around 9am this morning, Mr. Vi Quy Nam had just walked out of the gate of the Commune People's Committee to National Highway 7A about 10m when he was suddenly attacked repeatedly on the head by a subject using a wooden stick about 50 - 60cm long.

While trying to avoid the attack, Mr. Nam called on people to surround and capture the suspect.

Through verification, it was found that the person who assaulted Mr. Vi Quy Nam was named Kha Van Du, residing in Hong Tien village (Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district). It is known that Du is a drug addict, in 2014, the commune organized Du to go to drug rehabilitation, at that time Mr. Nam was still holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee.

Currently, the police force of Chieu Luu commune is temporarily detaining the subject for handling according to the provisions of law, and the victim is being examined and treated at the commune health station.
