Vice Mayor of Gwangju City visits Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 28, during the visit and working program in Nghe An, Mr. Mun Yeong Hoon - Deputy Mayor of Gwangju City (Korea) and the delegation visited the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College.
Also joining the delegation were Mr. Sim Chul Eui - Vice Chairman of the City Council; Ms. Im Mi Ran - City Council Delegate and delegates and businessmen.

Dr. Ho Van Dam - Principal of the school said that Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College is a gift from Korean President Kim Tea Chung to the Vietnamese Government in 1998, built in the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh.
The school is currently training 3,000 students in 14 majors and occupations. The school's students compete in skills competitions from provincial to ASEAN and world levels, many scientific topics of teachers and students have won prizes at provincial and national levels. In recent times, the school has paid attention to cooperation with businesses, 90% of graduates have stable jobs and are sought after by businesses.

Currently, there are more than 3,000 students of the school working in Korea, many of whom are working in many factories such as GL, Sam Sung, Posco, Huyndai... The school was approved by the Prime Minister as one of the high-quality colleges in the country with 7 majors reaching international standards.
On this occasion, the School proposed to the Delegation to help the School connect with Korean Universities and Colleges with the same training target to exchange lecturers and students; support start-up activities for students; connect businesses so that students can do internships or work in Korea; support some training equipment to upgrade the Korean language department.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Mayor of Gwangju City Mun Yeong Hoon expressed his joy at visiting the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College, and the delegation felt the warmth of returning home.
After reviewing the school's documents, the Vice Mayor of Gwangju City realized that the school's training majors such as electronics, automotive engineering... are being invested in by Gwangju City and have good potential. Gwangju City is the first automobile manufacturing area in Korea and currently the companies: Kia, Hyundai are setting up factories here.

Regarding the school's proposals, the Vice Mayor of Gwangju City emphasized his willingness to help and support. Because Gwangju City currently has 18 universities, all of which have internship programs for students. Conversely, students from Gwangju City can also do internships at the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College, thereby participating in working at businesses in Vietnam.
At the meeting, members of the delegation and school leaders also discussed additional issues related to training, student support, professional linkages, cultural and sports exchanges, etc. The two sides agreed to continue to exchange and cooperate in many fields, contributing to building a friendly and cooperative relationship between Nghe An province and Gwangju city that is increasingly strong, practical and effective.
