(Baonghean.vn) - "Ensuring consistency, compliance with regulations and ensuring the legitimate interests of people when being relocated" is the guiding viewpoint of Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung to resolve problems at the Hua Na Hydropower project.
On June 29, 2020, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 4112/UBND-NN requesting the Prime Minister's direction to handle difficulties in calculating and deducting agricultural land use rights between the departure and arrival locations of the Hua Na Hydropower resettlement project.

On August 4, 2020, the Government Office issued Official Dispatch No. 6352/VPCP-NN to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice and People's Committee of Nghe An province with the following content:
"Regarding the proposal of the People's Committee of Nghe An province in Official Dispatch No. 4112/UBND-NN on requesting opinions and instructions on handling difficulties when calculating and deducting agricultural land use rights between the departure and arrival locations of the Hua Na Hydropower resettlement project in Que Phong district, Nghe An. Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has the following comments:

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Justice and relevant ministries and branches to study the difficulties and problems in Official Dispatch No. 4112/UBND-NN of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, urgently guide the province to implement to ensure consistency, compliance with regulations and ensure the legitimate interests of people when being relocated.
Regarding the content of Official Dispatch No. 4112/UBND-NN of the Provincial People's Committee, in addition to specifically stating the difficulties and obstacles in the process of applying the law, it has briefly reported to the Prime Minister on the implementation of investment in the construction of the Hua Na Hydropower Project in Que Phong district.

The Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the Hua Na Hydropower Project was completed and started generating electricity in February 2013 thanks to the consensus of 1,362 households with 5,236 people in 14 villages of Thong Thu and Dong Van communes who had relocated and resettled since 2008.
