The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government directed to clarify the case of the group of "knights" of Ho Chi Minh City being murdered.
On the morning of May 14, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, Head of the Government's Steering Committee for Crime Prevention, sent a telegram to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ministry of Public Security to express condolences to the families of the victims, and at the same time directed urgent investigation and strict handling of the subjects.
The dispatch stated that on the evening of May 13, in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, a group of 8 "knights" from Tan Binh District, while chasing and arresting motorbike thieves, were attacked with weapons by these thieves, causing extremely serious consequences, killing and injuring many people.

On behalf of the Government, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh praised the group of "knights" who were ready to sacrifice themselves, contributing to protecting security, order and social safety in the city and sent his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and their relatives.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to promptly organize visits, encourage, reward and provide appropriate and timely support to the victims and their families.
The Ministry of Public Security directed the police forces to promptly investigate, clarify, and strictly handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law; step up crime prevention, increase patrols, ensure security and order, take measures to ensure the safety of people actively participating in the movement of the whole people to protect national security, and take direct actions to fight against criminals.
