Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam: 'Wherever needed, wherever difficult, there are border guards'
(Baonghean.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized the above spirit when visiting and congratulating officers and soldiers of the Border Guard of Nghe An province on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2017) on the afternoon of December 16.
Accompanying the delegation to the province were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police.

At the Provincial Border Guard Command, after listening to the report on border security management and protection and unit building,Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam praised the achievements of officers and soldiers of Nghe An Border Guard in recent times.
Nghe An Border Guard force has done a good job of advising local Party committees and authorities to deploy plans to prevent crimes such as drugs, smuggling... and has also contributed significantly to building close solidarity with the people, promoting the mass movement to participate in protecting border security and sovereignty.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam hopes that officers and soldiers of Nghe An Border Guard always maintain close relations with the people; promote the spirit of solidarity, unity and consensus to excellently complete assigned tasks.
"Promoting the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, I believe that Nghe An border guards will always be ready for all tasks, well implement social security policies; advise local Party committees and authorities on economic and social development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction. So that "wherever needed, wherever difficult, there are border guards" - the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
Officers and soldiers need to step up border patrol activities at sea and on land, firmly protect national sovereignty and territory; be proactive and flexible in attacking and destroying all types of crimes in border areas, especially drug trafficking crimes and high-tech crimes...
