At around 9pm on January 23, many football fans were surprised to see Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam wearing a helmet and riding a motorbike to the stadium.Hoan Kiem Lake area (Hanoi).
Wearing a red shirt and holding a large flag, the Deputy Prime Minister joined the crowd congratulating the Vietnamese team's victory over Qatar in the U23 Asian Cup semi-final.

The Deputy Prime Minister walked with the parade through several streets. Many young people recognized him and approached him to take souvenir photos.

Previously on the morning of December 19, tAt the conference to review 4 years of implementing the Vietnam Football Development Strategy to 2020 and vision to 2030, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam requested to organize a dialogue on Vietnamese football.
According to him,Developing a beautiful, honest, and accurate football is not a matter of willfulness, done at once, but requires a roadmap, basically following the development rules of the world from grassroots football, youth football to professional tournaments, national team level. Training players is not only about techniques and tactics, but also about ethics, culture, training regimen, and nutrition.
