On the morning of December 31, Hai Chau II Confectionery Joint Stock Company held a product launch ceremony of Hai Chau II Confectionery Factory at Dong Hoi Industrial Park, Hoang Mai town.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister. On behalf of Nghe An province's leaders, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
After nearly 10 months of construction, Hai Chau II Confectionery Factory with 10 confectionery and beverage production lines reaching 75,000 tons/year, has come into operation.
When operating stably and operating at 100% of its designed capacity, the factory will achieve a total revenue of about 1,700 billion VND/year; create jobs for 520 workers with an average income of 4.5 - 10 million VND/person/month. The factory will also contribute to the consumption of agricultural products such as sugar, salt, rice, pepper, eggs, and contribute to the state budget through value added tax and corporate income tax.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy said that the operation of the Hai Chau II - Nghe An Confectionery Factory project will create a new look for Hoang Mai town; contribute to creating jobs for hundreds of workers, promoting the development of supporting industries, trade services, and increasing budget revenue for the area.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone and relevant departments to create all favorable conditions for the factory to operate smoothly. Hai Chau Confectionery Joint Stock Company needs to strictly comply with the provisions of the law on labor safety, fire prevention and fighting, and environmental protection.
