US Vice President advises Türkiye not to test Donald Trump's patience
US Vice President Mike Pence warned Türkiye "not to test Donald Trump's patience" and called for the release of American pastor Andrew Brunson.

"Pastor Andrew Brunson is an innocent man held by Türkiye. The President and I will continue to stand firm until Pastor Branson is released and returned to his family, friends, and church in America," Pence wrote on his Twitter.
In this regard, he said that "Türkiye should not test the patience of President Trump, who intends to return to the United States Americans who were unfairly sentenced to imprisonment in other countries."
State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert, in turn, noted that the US and Türkiye have not yet scheduled meetings to discuss the pastor's fate.
"Diplomatic efforts continue. I am sure that at some point in the future we will discuss with the Turkish government the case of Pastor Branson and other Americans," she added.
