Deputy Head of Department found dead hanging at office

On the afternoon of November 26, Mr. Le Hoang Nghi - Director of the Department of Finance of Binh Dinh province confirmed that Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong (born in 1972), currently holding the position of Deputy Head of the Department's Administrative Management Department, was just discovered hanging in a restroom in the agency.

“This is a very unexpected and unfortunate incident. We are still waiting for the police to determine the cause of the incident,” said Mr. Nghi.

According to initial information, on the afternoon of the same day, when entering the office restroom, an officer of the Department of Finance discovered Mr. Duong dead in a hanging position. At the scene, the victim was found with a rope tied to a tree across the restroom wall, strangling his neck.

Mr. Duong has been the Deputy Head of Department for about 4 years now and has been working normally, with no signs of abnormality before the incident occurred.

When discovering the incident, many colleagues in Mr. Duong's agency were shocked. Currently, Quy Nhon City Police are coordinating with relevant agencies to investigate and clarify the cause of Mr. Duong's death.
