Reporter:Having witnessed the first match of Vietnam's top football league, V-League, what are your observations regarding the quality of Vietnamese players? Which player from the SLNA and SHB Da Nang teams impressed you the most?

Mr. Miura:Since it was only the first match, it's difficult to comment on the skill level of the Vietnamese players. However, my impression of the match between SLNA and SHB Da Nang is that the players performed very actively. I don't want to make any judgments about any player in the recent match; I want to remain neutral to observe as many matches as possible.

According to the planned schedule, the team will have a match this June. To prepare for this match, I will select my own lineup, which will serve as the basis for choosing the official team to participate in the AFC Suzuki Cup 2014.

PV:When you came to Vietnam for work, you were without your usual assistants. Did that pose any difficulties, sir?

Mr. Miura:In fact, the VFF has established a selection committee and a team of Vietnamese people to assist me in my upcoming work. For example, they helped me monitor other matches in Round 16 of the V-League. Regarding the coaching staff, I have a list of nominees from the VFF, but I haven't made a specific decision yet.

PV:Developing a playing style for the national team is essential and reflects his vision. So, will he build the Vietnamese national team's playing style towards attacking, defensive, or counter-attacking?

Mr. Miura:At this point, I cannot yet choose a specific playing style for the Vietnamese national team, such as attacking, defensive, or counter-attacking. However, I will base the team's playing style on the strengths of the Vietnamese players.

My impression of Vietnamese players is that they play very actively and move a lot on the field. That's a strength I'll exploit in the future. I have different selection criteria for each position on the field. From goalkeeper to defender, midfielder, and forward, I have to make specific choices for each position according to my own criteria.

PV: Recently, the Vietnamese women's national team missed the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup after losing to the Thai women's national team in the play-off match. Now, they are pinning their hopes on men's football. So, do you feel any pressure?

Mr. Miura:I watched the playoff match between the Vietnamese and Thai women's national teams. I was truly surprised by the packed stadium and my impression of Vietnam is that you all love football. However, based on the Vietnamese women's team's result, I don't feel any pressure. As a coach, I always think about the future.

PV:Do you plan to bring your whole family to live in Vietnam in the near future?

Mr. Miura:Right now I haven't thought about that; I want to focus on my work.

PV:Thank you for this interview. I wish you success with the Vietnamese national team!
