Measles epidemicThe outbreak in Pha Lom village originated from the fact that the rate of children vaccinated here is very low (nearly 50%). The reason is that the level and awareness of health of the people is still limited. Life is difficult, grandparents and parents are busy with farming and pay little attention to their children; they are afraid that if the children are vaccinated, they will get a fever, and the parents will not be able to go to work. The propaganda work of the medical team faces many difficulties due to language differences; people go to work from dawn to dusk... Photo: Thanh Chung
