Nghe An Newspaper reporter won first prize at the national English Olympic competition for young cadres

After more than 3 months of launching the contest, it has attracted 90,184 young cadres nationwide to participate. This is a contest organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The contestants went through 2 rounds of competition, including an online English knowledge preliminary round taking place from July 18 to August 28, 2021. At the end of round 1, the Organizing Committee selected 90 excellent contestants who surpassed more than 90,000 contestants nationwide to enter round 2 - the presentation round through video clips.

Based on the results of the video clips according to the topics, the jury and the organizing committee of the contest selected 15 contestants to compete in the national final round. Among them, Vo Thi Thu Giang - Reporter of Nghe An Newspaper is the only contestant from Nghe An province to make it to this round.

In the final round taking place on the afternoon of October 16, 15 contestants were divided into 5 teams, each team consisting of 3 contestants. Each team went through 3 rounds including introducing their team, answering knowledge questions and debating.

In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize and 2 Encouragement Prizes to the participating teams. In which, the team of Vo Thi Thu Giang, together with Ha Hong Ngoc - Dong Hoi City Youth Union, Quang Binh Province and Hoang Thi Linh Chi - People's Police Academy, excellently won the First Prize.
