(Baonghean.vn)- Immediately after leaving Port FC, Coach Kiatisuk became the focus of Vietnamese press, howeverreporterThailand has negative comments about this coach.

After Vietnamese football parted ways with coach Nguyen Huu Thang, the position of leading the national team is a hot topic of interest to fans. These days, there has been a lot of information about the former head coach of Thailand, Kiatisuk Senamuang, becoming one of the candidates that the Vietnam Football Federation is aiming for.

Vietnam’s leading sports newspapers continuously published articles about Kiatisuk, but in Thailand, there were no articles about this coach. Only Today reprinted an article published in Vietnam.

“In Thailand, there is no information about Coach Kiatisuk's future in Vietnam, but I think he is not qualified enough to lead your national team,” said reporter Bee Uamklat of Thailand's Fourfourtwo magazine.

This reporter added more arguments to argue that Kiatisuk is not suitable for this position: “Firstly, he has not completed the Asian Football Confederation (AFC Pro-Diploma Coaching) course. During his time leading the Thai national team, Kiatisuk revealed his limitations in defense. The World Cup qualifiers have proven that he is not capable of bringing ASEAN football to compete with Asian football. I think it would be more appropriate for him to lead a club in Vietnam. As for the national team, he is not capable of organizing the players to play according to the plan like the current Thai coach, Rajevac.

I think Vietnam should choose a foreign coach like Alfred Riedl. He organizes the team very well and has experience. In general, ASEAN football should not choose a coach who comes from a striker background like Kiatisuk but a coach who is capable of organizing the whole team."

In addition, this reporter also pointed out the evidence and reasons why Kiatisuk fell out of favor in Thailand: “Kiatisuk only knows how to attack and attack. He put all his strength into attacking but accidentally destroyed all the achievements in the defense organization. When leading Port FC, many times this team took the lead but could not keep the score. There were matches where he led 1-0 but lost 1-3, or won 3-1 but was tied 3-3. I think that is why Vietnam should look for another candidate. Port Club paid him the highest salary in the Thai League but the results were not commensurate.”

At the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar in 2013, Kiatisuk led the U23 team back to the throne after many years of unsuccessful competition. He then continued to lead the Thai U23 team to the semi-finals of the 2014 ASIAD. At the national team level, Kiatisuk helped the national team win two championships: the 2014 AFF Cup and the 2016 AFF Cup. However, due to the poor performance of the Thai team in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Kiatisuk decided to leave the Thai team after 4 years of association.

Since accepting the invitation to become the head coach of Port FC in the Thai League in June 2017, Kiatisuk has only brought home 1 win, 3 draws and 6 losses, causing the team to struggle in 12th place on the rankings. This result has exposed Kiatisuk's limitations in organizing defense, according to the assessment of the Thai reporter.
