According to journalist Tran Thi Tuyet Mai - News Department, Vietnam Television, one of the people working at the scene, after being assigned by the leader to verify the incident, the working team went to meet and interview the leader of Phu Lo Commune People's Committee.

The Chairman of Phu Lo Commune People's Committee confirmed that there was an encroachment case as reported by the people. However, when asked to bring a group of VTV reporters to the scene to record images and provide information about the incident, the Chairman of Phu Lo Commune People's Committee called Mr. H., the owner of a villa located in the area of 3 hectares of the lake that was occupied. After talking over the phone, the Chairman of Phu Lo Commune People's Committee refused to bring the group of reporters to the scene for "sensitive reasons".

Notably, Mr. H. not only did not cooperate with the Vietnam Television reporter team, but also used a Mitsubishi vehicle to drive straight into the VTV reporters.
