Women who eat too much red meat are at risk of breast cancer
American experts warn that a diet high in carbonated drinks, red meat and processed meat but low in vegetables can increase women's risk of breast cancer.
Researchers collected data from 45,204 women who completed a questionnaire about their diets in high school and were followed into adulthood, aged 27 to 44.
Professor Karin Michels of the University of California (USA) said: "Because breast cancer takes a long time to form and develop, we really wanted to find out whether diet and eating habits in the early stages of life as a young girl are a risk factor for breast cancer or not."

Each woman's diet was monitored for inflammation using blood tests for inflammatory markers.
During the 22-year follow-up, 870 women were diagnosed with premenopausal breast cancer and 490 were diagnosed with postmenopausal breast cancer. The researchers then randomly divided the women into five groups based on their childhood dietary inflammation scores.
In summary, the results of this study also warn that a diet low in green vegetables and regularly eating red meat and processed meat along with drinking carbonated soft drinks will cause many unpredictable harmful effects on human health in old age.
