Entering the meaningful days of March, Nghe An Newspaper would like to quote some thoughts, feelings and wishes of women and mothers to better understand and sympathize with the other half of the world who is affectionately called the Beautiful Sex!

She herself is fortunate to have lived through many generations and witnessed the changes in society, she feels very happy because women in ethnic minority areas have now changed a lot compared to before. If in the past, the role of ethnic minority women was only limited to housework, giving birth and getting married at a very young age, now the younger generations know how to cultivate and study and succeed in their education. Thanks to that, women in ethnic minority areas have "less suffering" than before, gradually taking on many important positions from the village to higher levels.
She herself is 79 years old this year and 55 years in the Party. Despite her advanced age, she believes that she must always live optimistically and happily to have a more fulfilling life. In the past, she and the elderly in the area still found joy in participating in community activities in the village. At the same time, she always reminds herself to take good care of herself so that society can see that the elderly bring benefits, not burdens, to everyone. They still bring many positive values to the community and society.
If she could leave one message on March 8, she would hope that future generations would study hard to bring Vietnam's science and technology to develop on par with developed countries.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong (born in 1960), freelance worker in Hung Dung ward, Vinh city

Being a motorbike taxi driver is hard for men, but even harder for women. However, despite the difficulties of the job, I am always happy and optimistic because I can earn money from honest work. That makes me feel that I am not inferior to men. Currently in Vinh city, many women are doing jobs that people used to think were only for men such as construction workers, motorbike taxi drivers, and porters. Although we have to work hard to make a living, we still feel happy when we are in control of our own lives.
I hope that in the coming time, the State will have more effective support policies for freelance workers so that we can have less hardship and have more support to move forward in life.

Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Hoa - Director of Sen Vang Cooperative, Vice Chairman of the Disabled Women and Girls Club of Nghe An province.

Born in Vinh city, Nghe An, 44-year-old Tran Thi Nhu Hoa has experienced many difficulties in life since she was 5 years old, after a severe fever she lost one leg and became disabled. In the following months, she tried hard to study and passed the entrance exam to Nghe An College of Culture and Arts. But then, the storms came again when she became pregnant and became a single mother when she was a second-year student. After many efforts, she stuck with the sewing profession and gradually achieved success on the path she had chosen.
Ms. Hoa is both the Director and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Sen Vang Cooperative (fashion design and business). She is one of 40 outstanding women nationwide who recently attended the ceremony to honor outstanding women who have made positive contributions to the community and activities that contribute to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities, organized by the Vietnam Federation of People with Disabilities (VFD) in collaboration with the Center for Supporting Community Service Initiatives (CSIP). Currently, Ms. Hoa is the Vice Chairman of the Club for Women and Girls with Disabilities in Nghe An province.
Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Hoa shared: “It is difficult for women to succeed, but for women with disabilities it is a thousand times more difficult. In addition to the common obstacles that women face, we also have to overcome our own shortcomings.
Having had the opportunity to meet many women with disabilities, I understand their concerns and obstacles in integrating into the community. One of the biggest problems is that people with disabilities themselves still have low self-esteem and inferiority complex. That makes them not realize their own abilities. But the cause of this is also due to the double impact of prejudice - prejudice about not valuing women, and women with disabilities are even more despised, especially in rural and remote areas. Therefore, women with disabilities must know how to motivate themselves to stand up from their low self-esteem and inferiority complex to integrate into the community and society.
I really hope that in the coming time, the community and society will change their perspective on people with disabilities. Instead of seeing people with disabilities as beneficiaries or as a burden on society, let's see them as an important force in the community. Let's look at examples of people with disabilities who have overcome adversity to see that we still shine from the beauty of our souls.
For women with disabilities, I hope everyone will temporarily forget the difficulties we have been through. Let's really, really try our best. Then one day we will succeed, we will be proud of the journey we have gone through!"

Ms. Phan Thi Sao (born in 1994) - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Hung Nghia commune (Hung Nguyen district)

Taking on the role of Deputy Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, over the past time, in contact with many young people, I feel that the female generations in modern life are now much more confident and independent than before. Many young people not only build their own careers but also carry out many volunteer activities towards disadvantaged and vulnerable groups in society.
I myself used to be a student at Vinh University, I have in mind the need to apply the knowledge I have learned to improve the effectiveness of the Youth Union's volunteer activities. And that goal has been achieved during the time when Hung Nguyen district in particular and the whole province in general had to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. As Deputy Secretary of the Commune Youth Union, I and other local young people have collaborated with experienced teachers at Vinh University to successfully invent hand sanitizer to give away for free to local people. Seeing people ease their worries during the epidemic season, I and my companions feel extremely happy. Therefore, as a modern woman, I think I need to cultivate knowledge to turn it into a stepping stone to help me carry out volunteer activities for the community and society.
Besides social activities, I and other young people always remind ourselves to fulfill our duties as a mother, wife, and child in the family to maintain happiness for our home.
