Phu Thanh (Yen Thanh) mobilized nearly 280 billion VND to build new rural areas

(Baonghean.vn) - On March 26, the People's Committee of Phu Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of the commune meeting new rural standards.

Attending the event were comrades Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van De - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Phan Van Tuyen - Chairman of the District People's Committee and representatives of leaders and people of Yen Thanh district and Phu Thanh commune.

Many people attended the ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of the commune meeting New Rural standards.

In 2012, after the approval of the NTM planning project, Phu Thanh commune only achieved 11/19 criteria, while the 8 criteria that were not achieved were criteria that required huge investment in both human resources and material resources. Taking advantage of the contributions to the construction of the homeland of local businesses, the children of the homeland who are working and doing business all over the country. With the efforts and determination of the Party Committee and the people, by December 2015, the commune had achieved 19/19 criteria, and was recognized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as a commune that met the NTM standards.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the certificate of commune meeting new rural standards and a reward of 500 million VND to the Party Committee and people of the commune.

After 4 years of implementation, the total budget for implementing the new rural construction movement reached 279,435 billion VND. Of which: The central budget supported 3,700 million VND; the provincial budget supported 19,422 million VND; the district budget 675 million VND; the commune budget 7,765 million VND; resources from the people were 247,012 million VND. Of which, the largest investment was in the field of rural transport, irrigation and hardening of the inner fields with nearly 13 billion VND.

Total annual food output is about 5,160 tons. Many households have boldly developed livestock farms, earning an income of 90-100 million VND/year. People's lives have been constantly improved, with average income per capita reaching 24,380 million VND in 2015. The poverty rate is only 4.19%.Besides focusing on investing in rural infrastructure, focus on economic development.

Directing land consolidation, plot exchange, shifting crop and season structure, applying scientific and technical advances in production, building economic development projects, introducing high-yield varieties into production, so the annual yield always reaches 11.5 - 12 tons/ha.

On this occasion, 5 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements also received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 4 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements also received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Yen Thanh District People's Committee.
