Phuc Tho invests 165 billion VND to build new rural areas

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 12, the Steering Committee of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in Nghe An province organized an appraisal of the criteria for new rural construction in Phuc Tho commune (Nghi Loc).

After 5 years of implementing the national target program on new rural construction, Phuc Tho commune mobilized all resources to focus on building synchronous technical infrastructure. The total capital for new rural construction reached over 165 billion VND, of which nearly 13 billion VND was mobilized from internal resources from the people, and 2,300m2 of people were mobilized to donate.²land, 1200 working days and many constructions on the land to open roads.

The whole commune has nearly 10km of inter-commune roads paved with asphalt, and 30km of intra-hamlet roads paved with concrete. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, many projects invested in the area have created jobs for hundreds of workers. The poverty rate has decreased to 3.48%, and the average income per capita has reached nearly 29.6 million VND/person/year.

All three schools operate with quality, the kindergarten and primary schools meet national standards. The political system is maintained, security and order are stable.

After appraisal, the members of the Steering Committee agreed with the results that Phuc Tho commune achieved in the process of building new rural areas. At the same time, they requested the People's Committee of the commune to complete the dossier according to regulations to be recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting new rural standards in 2016.

This is the third commune of Nghi Loc district to complete the national program goals for new rural construction in 2016./.
