Water cannon used to control lover's murderer, holding gas tank and barricading himself

After being discovered killing his lover in a rented room, a man in Lam Dong let out a gas leak that threatened to explode, forcing the police to use a water cannon to control him.

Police were present at the scene.discovered Mrs. Mai murdered in the attic. The perpetrator was still inside the rented room, identified as Pham Quoc Cuong (36 years old, from Tien Giang).

The authorities advised Cuong to surrender. However, he refused to go out and instead opened the valve of the gas tank (12kg) and threatened to blow up the row of boarding houses, making no one dare to approach.

After 3 hours of unsuccessful persuasion, Lam Dong fire police were mobilized to break the iron door, spray water cannons into the room, and subdue Cuong. The victim died with a cut on his neck.

At the police station, Cuong confessedlived with Mrs. Mai as husband and wife. Recently, he discovered that his lover was seeing another man, so he became jealous and the two no longer lived together. This morning, Cuong came to find the victim to "talk" and then killed her.
