Quang Tien Ward (Thai Hoa Town): Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Sports Festival
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 7th, Quang Tien ward (Thai Hoa town) held the opening ceremony of the 2nd Sports Festival in 2013.
This sports festival took place over two days, May 7-8, 2013, with 180 athletes from 12 units, schools, agencies, and a large number of local residents participating and cheering. Immediately after the opening ceremony, competitions enthusiastically took place in five disciplines: football, tug-of-war, stick pushing, 100m run, and badminton.
A large number of local people from all walks of life participated in the opening ceremony.
A health-promoting exercise performance by the Senior Citizens' Association.
Through the ward's sports festival, the aim is to launch a movement for physical training following the example of the great President Ho Chi Minh. This is also an opportunity for units to interact, unite, and learn from each other, thereby selecting outstanding athletes to participate in the upcoming city-level sports festival.
