Thu Thuy Ward (Cua Lo Town): Striving to achieve urban civilization standards

(Baonghean) - Located in the center of Cua Lo town, Thu Thuy ward has great potential for developing tourism and service economy, so in the past term, the ward continued to develop many types of quality tourism services; in which, strengthening state management of planning, implementing the policy of "5 no". The annual tourism and service economic production value increased by an average of 7.1%, reaching 497.2 billion VND in 2015 and accounting for 85.6% of the economic structure.

Annual labor export has 440 - 465 people, total annual income of 78 billion VND, this is an important factor in the economic development of the locality. Currently, in the ward, there are 138 establishments, an increase of 57 establishments compared to 2010, maintaining stable production, opening many establishments for processing souvenir services, construction materials, civil carpentry, mechanical repair services. Developing seasonal fishing, developing aquaculture models, meeting the market demand in and outside the province, in addition to exporting abroad... Total production value in the ward in 2015 is estimated at 676.6 billion VND; average income per capita is estimated at 92.5 million VND/year 2015...

During the term, the ward also focused on building and repairing many key projects, contributing to changing the appearance of the central ward of the town. Implementing Resolution No. 09 - NQ/ThuU on promoting internal resources, in 5 years, the total mobilized internal resources from the people reached nearly 8 billion VND. The total production value of the construction industry in 2015 was estimated at 171.7 billion VND; the average annual growth rate was 5.1%. Completed declaration, approval and issuance of Land Use Right Certificates for 1,034/1,099 households, reaching 94%. Regularly organizing general cleaning of the environment in residential areas, forest parks, beaches and roads. Effectively mobilizing social resources to plant trees in the area.

In the field of culture and society, continue to consolidate and build a healthy cultural environment, bring the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" into each specific task. Up to now, the rate of mobilizing children to attend school has reached 100%; both/2 schools maintain the title of national standard schools. Primary health care for the people is given attention, food hygiene and safety, examination and treatment are getting better and better. The ward maintains the title of achieving 10 national standards on health; the annual vaccination rate for children of the prescribed age is 100%...

The ward also implemented many poverty reduction programs, created conditions for loans, and created jobs for workers. The spiritual and material life of the people continued to improve and rise. Three Great Unity houses were built, and the poverty rate in the ward has now dropped to 3%. Attention has been paid to the work of repaying gratitude and caring for policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services. The organization has fully and promptly disseminated the Party's viewpoints on military and national defense tasks in the new situation. Ensured a plan for absolute safety during holidays, Tet, and important days of the country; protected security and order to serve tourism activities. Strengthened and improved the quality of mass organizations doing security and order work at the grassroots level.

Implementing Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th tenure) "Some urgent issues on Party building at present", the Party Committee of the ward focused on leading and directing the resolution of tasks that needed to be done immediately after the review in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th tenure). Paying attention to personnel work and strengthening the work of building the Party organization. Continuously from 2010 to 2014, Thu Thuy Ward Party Committee was recognized as a typical party member, of which in 2012 it achieved the title of exemplary party member; every year 9/10 party cells achieved the title of a typical party member. During the term, 29 new party members were trained and admitted.

The achievements and results achieved in the past term are the motivation for the Party Committee and people of Thu Thuy ward to confidently complete the targets in the 2015 - 2020 term on the basis of continuing to build and invest in infrastructure, focusing on improving the quality of tourism services, bringing the economic growth rate to develop rapidly, contributing to improving the spiritual and material life of the people; striving to build the ward to meet urban civilized standards.
