Piaggio Vietnam recalls 3,700 Medley 125/150 ABS motorbikes due to defects

Piaggio Vietnam Company Limited (Piaggio Company) has just announced the Recall Program for defective products for repair of Piaggio Medley 125/150 ABS products.

Specifically, Piaggio Company announced that Piaggio MEDLY 125 ABS-100 vehicles, manufactured from February 18, 2016 to June 29, 2016, and Piaggio MEDLY 150 ABS-20 vehicles, manufactured from June 18, 2016 to July 12, 2016, have technical errors.

Piaggio vehicles recalled due to main frame tube defect

During the periodic inspection process according to the Piaggio Group's quality control system, Piaggio Company discovered that the main frame tube of some batches of Piaggio Medley 125/150 ABS vehicles when using the vehicle in harsh conditions such as: overloading and driving on bad, bumpy roads, some vehicle frames may be damaged.

According to Piaggio Company, about 3,700 vehicles are affected by this error.

Piaggio Company recommends that for the benefit and safety of themselves and their passengers, consumers should quickly bring their vehicles to Piaggio Company dealers to have the affected vehicles inspected and repaired.

The duration of this recall program will end on October 31, 2018.
