After 27 seasons, only 6 teams Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur have never been relegated. |
Up to now, the Premier League is increasingly attractive to football fans around the world, especially Vietnamese audiences, because of its significant differences compared to other European tournaments. The Premier League is always changing in a unique, strange and exciting direction.
Conservative Premier League
In 2006, to ensure the health of players, FIFA ordered all major European leagues, including Italy's Serie A and Spain's La Liga, to be reduced to 18 teams from the 2007–08 season. But the Premier League responded by saying that Welsh clubs should have 20 teams if they were to compete in the English football league system. In fact, Swansea City are the first non-English club to play in the Premier League, and after their relegation last year, Cardiff City are the only Welsh club still playing in the league. There has been talk of Scottish and Irish clubs participating in the Premier League, but so far there has been no consensus.
After 27 seasons, since the first season of the Premier League in 1992, there have been 47 clubs participating, but only 6 of them have won the championship: Manchester United (13), Chelsea (5), Arsenal and Manchester City (3), Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City (1). The current champions are Manchester City, who won the title in the 2017-18 season with a record of 100 points, a record of 32 wins in a season, and a record of 106 goals.
The Football Association is not directly involved in the running of the Premier League, but has a veto as a special shareholder in choosing the chairman and chief executive of the league's organising body. Of course, the Football Association is the one who decides how to implement new laws on the pitch. The chairman and chief executive of the Premier League's organising body are elected by the clubs, each member having one vote.
Up to three teams at the bottom of the Premier League table will be directly relegated to the English Football League. The two teams at the top of the English Football League table will be directly promoted to the Premier League, and the remaining club will be promoted after winning the play-off between the teams ranked 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th in the English Football League. Up to now, after 27 seasons, only 6 teams Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur have never been relegated.
Many records
The 3 coaches with the best achievements in the Premier League are Alex Ferguson with 13 championships, Arsene Wenger 3 times, José Mourinho 3 times. What is quite special is that those championships all came from 1 club, among them only José Mourinho is still working at MU. Alex Ferguson retired after 21 years, and Arsene Wenger left Arsenal after setting a record for the longest working time in the Premier League (22 years). People calculate that it will take decades, even longer, to have monuments like Alex Ferguson, the best coach in the Premier League.

In a bid to limit foreign players playing in the Premier League, the UK Immigration Department has tightened the rules for granting work permits to players from outside the European Union. A non-EU player can only be granted a work permit if he has played 75% of the 'A' matches he was selected for over a two-year period, and his country must have been ranked at least 70th on average in the FIFA rankings over the past two years.
