Nghe An: Highlights of February 14th
Today, February 14th, over 3,400 young people in Nghe An enthusiastically participated in the conscription ceremony. Leaders from the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, Military Region 4, and Nghe An province visited various localities to encourage the new recruits as they embarked on their sacred duty to the Fatherland. Also on February 14th, National Assembly delegates attending the 9th extraordinary session participated in discussions in the assembly hall.
* On the morning of February 14th, Nghe An province simultaneouslyOrganizing the military enlistment and induction ceremony.In 20 districts, cities, and towns, people bid farewell to the outstanding sons and daughters of their homeland as they embark on their mission to build and protect the Fatherland.
In Vinh City, the military enlistment ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Deputy Minister of Public Security, along with a delegation from the Ministry of Public Security. Representing Nghe An province was Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
This year, Vinh City has 192 young men enlisting in the Vietnam People's Army and 27 young men joining the People's Public Security Force. 100% of the young men meet the health and political qualification requirements.
At the troop deployment ceremony, leaders from the Ministry of Public Security, Nghe An province, the Provincial Police, and Vinh City Police presented flowers, offered words of encouragement, and motivated the citizens of Vinh City as they departed to fulfill their duties.
*Military enlistment ceremony in Nam Dan districtPresent at the event were Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army. Also attending were Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Military Region 4. Leaders from Nghe An province included Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council.
In 2025, Nam Dan district was assigned by the province the target of selecting and enlisting 183 citizens into the People's Army and the People's Police.
*Attending the military enlistment ceremony in Nghi Loc district.Present were: Major General Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Colonel Nguyen Ky Hong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command.
In 2025, Nghi Loc district will have 154 young people enlisting in the military to fulfill their sacred duty to their homeland and country, including 142 joining the People's Army and 12 joining the People's Public Security Force.
* On the morning of February 14th, the 9th Extraordinary Session continued its program.The 15th National Assembly held a discussion in the assembly hall.Regarding the draft Resolution stipulating the handling of certain issues related to the reorganization of the State apparatus.
During the morning session, the National Assembly heard presentations and reports on the specific mechanisms and policies for investing in and constructing the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.
* On the afternoon of February 14th, the Economic and Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting.Reviewing several draft resolutionsPresented at the 27th Session (special session) of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council, 18th term, 2021-2026.
The delegates reviewed the draft resolution on the policy of converting forest land to other uses for the implementation of projects in Nghe An province.
* The Provincial People's Committee has just issuedAnnouncement of the Conclusion of the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Hong Vinhat the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in January 2025.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested all sectors and levels to decisively implement solutions and measures to "accelerate and break through," promote production and business activities, and strive to achieve double-digit growth by 2025.
* Implementation planProvide additional resettlement support.Regarding the Ban Ve hydropower project, it was agreed upon by Power Generation Corporation 1 and the People's Committees of Tuong Duong and Thanh Chuong districts at a meeting on February 10, 2025.
According to the plan, the total cost to definitively resolve the outstanding issues at the Ban Ve hydropower project is over 51 billion VND.
