Projen XXX - Chinese pickup truck copying Ford F-150 Raptor

The best-selling pickup truck in the US is being counterfeited from design to appearance, priced from only 13,600 USD.

Projen fakes the Ford F-150 Raptor's design, priced at $13,600 in China.

Projen, a car brand owned by Lifan Yunnan, a subsidiary of China’s Lifan Group, introduced a new pickup truck model in October, designed to resemble the Ford F-150 Raptor, a popular pickup model in the US.

According to Carnewschina, the F-150 "fake" pickup truck is called Projen XXX, equipped with a 2.5-liter diesel engine with a capacity of about 150 horsepower, priced from 13,600 USD. Meanwhile, the genuine Ford F-150 Raptor costs 75,600 USD in China, a difference of 5 times.

The grille and headlights are quite similar to the original Ford F-150 Raptor.

In Chinese, Projen is called Bojun, which translates to platinum horse. Projen's logo features a horse's head.

Back in 2012, JAC Motors also launched a copy of the Ford F-150, but the Chinese automaker had to stop due to patent infringement.
