Pushkin and Lenin fight on Red Square
Impersonators of Russian poet Alexander Pushkin and communist leader Vladimir Lenin, who make money by posing for photos with tourists, fought near Red Square.
Video of the brawl posted on YouTube on April 24.
According to the TV channel "360 Moscow Suburbs", the cause of the conflict was that these street artists were fighting for customers. The fake "Lenin" said that he had been "active" in this place for 15 years, while "Pushkin" appeared not long ago. After that, despite the attempts of passersby to reconcile the two quarreling people, the "poet" gave his opponent a few kicks and quickly fled in the direction of the Kremlin Embankment.
Last summer, a similar fight took place near the Okhotny Ryad metro station between two impersonators of Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin, who were doing business together. That time, "Stalin" hit "Lenin" in the back three times with an umbrella. The reason for the argument was that "Lenin" suspected "Stalin" of collaborating with another Stalin impersonator.
