Putin pardons two women convicted of treason

Russian President Vladimir Putin pardoned Marina Dzhandzhgava and Annick Kesyan, convicted of treason. The presidential decree was published on the official legal information portal.

Sochi citizens Marina Dzhandzhgava and Annick Kesyan were convicted for sending SMS messages to Georgian friends in 2008 informing them about the transfer of military equipment by rail. Dzhandzhgava was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and Kesyan - 8 years.

Earlier, the Russian President pardoned Oksana Sevastidi, who was convicted in a similar case. Sevastidi was released on March 12 this year./.
