Mr. Putin said that increasing military rhetoric around the DPRK is a path to destruction. |
"Before our eyes is a spiral of conflict unfolding around North Korea's nuclear missile program. You know our position: Russia condemns Pyongyang's actions that violate UN Security Council resolutions," Putin said.
"But at the same time, inciting an increase in military rhetoric is not only a dead end, but I am convinced that it is a path to destruction. All sides need to show restraint and seek peaceful solutions," Putin said at the ceremony to present credentials to the new ambassadors of 20 countries.
According to the Russian President, in the modern world, conflicts need to be resolved by seeking compromise and taking into account many factors that are sometimes extremely sensitive to compromise.
