Russian President Putin previously said that this was not the right time to resume airstrikes in Aleppo. |
According to the Sunday Times, the British Navy is tracking two nuclear submarines of project 971 "Tshuka-B" and a diesel-electric submarine of project 877 "Paltus" that entered the North Atlantic last week.
These ships also joined the military force accompanying the aircraft carrier "Admiral Kuznetsov", which crossed the North Sea last week.
Currently, the aircraft carrier and its accompanying group of warships are present off the coast of North Africa "on standby," the newspaper said, citing a source in the Navy. NATO is concerned that the group will also include a Russian submarine armed with "Kalibr" missiles and could be used to strike targets in Syria.
However, the Kremlin previously said President Putin had no intention of resuming air strikes on the city of Aleppo.
