Putin meets Erdogan instead of meeting Trump
(Baonghean.vn) - US President Donald Trump previously canceled a meeting with Russian President Putin due to the incident between Russia and Ukraine in the Kerch Strait. Instead, Mr. Vladimir Putin will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan - Russian President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on December 1.

"The Russian President will have a meeting with the Turkish President on the morning of December 2," said Mr. Peskov.
Mr. Donald Trump had previously canceled a meeting with Putin after the incident in the Kerch Strait, when three Ukrainian Navy ships and their crews were captured by Russia for allegedly violating the Russian border while traveling in the area between the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
The most recent meeting between Putin and Erdogan was on November 19 in Istanbul. The two leaders previously met in August and October.
