Putin called the Russian national team coach twice during the match against Spain
President Vladimir Putin watched the match between the Russian national team and the Spanish team in the World Cup round of 16 match.

As the President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained, the country's leader is happy that the Russian team won against the "Red Fury" together with all the Russian people.
"Putin too, he also supported our players, also rejoiced at the victory with the whole country. I will not embellish, but, believe me, he supported, watched like all Russians with all his heart," - said the Kremlin representative.
Peskov recalled that the Russian President had called the national team coach Stanislav Cherchesov twice before and after the match.
The Russian national football team won the World Cup round of 16 against Spain and reached the quarter-finals of the tournament.
