Putin invites Trump to Moscow for 75th Victory Day celebration
(Baonghean.vn) - Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting in Osaka, invited his US counterpart Donald Trump to Moscow to attend the 75th Victory Day celebration, and the US leader agreed. This was announced by Kremlin assistant Yuri Ushakov.

"We have invited the US President to come to Russia to attend the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 9 next year," Mr. Ushakov told Rossyia 24 TV channel.
“The US President responded very positively. In this connection, the sides talked about which country lost how many people in the war, which country played a decisive role, and the sides noted the contribution of the Soviet people to this victory,” he added.
During the bilateral talks, the two presidents discussed strategic stability, Syria and Ukraine.

Speaking to reporters, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said: "They discussed the issue of strategic stability," adding that the two leaders also mentioned the situations in Syria and Ukraine.
According to Mr. Lavrov, President Putin reaffirmed Russia's strategic stability initiative during talks with his counterpart Trump.
"The desire to discuss a wide range of issues, from economic issues to strategic stability, was reaffirmed... We confirmed our initiatives in this area, which were outlined in Hamburg and Helsinki last year. President Trump said that members of his team present at the talks will be tasked with resolving these issues together with their partners from Moscow," the head of Russian diplomacy said.
