"What happens to the Russian media, which are quite aggressively and angrily declared foreign agents and restricted in their activities, speaks of the fact that someone is somehow influencing the political situation in Russia, especially in the pre-election period. And the fact that they do it regularly, at least try to carry out such intrigues, they consider it the norm, which, in my opinion, is completely wrong," Putin said at a meeting with the heads of Russian press and media agencies.
“If they stick their noses everywhere, they need to be ready to be able to meet certain challenges that they themselves provoke and cause,” Putin added. According to him, the Russian Federation does not interfere anywhere.
Russian President Vladimir Putin called the US response to unreliable information about Russian interference in the election tense and belligerent.
