Putin: Opposing Nord Stream 2 are those who are too used to 'licentious, promiscuous' behavior
Opponents of the Nord Stream 2 project are people who are used to debauchery, while in reality many others are having to pay the bill, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

“This (“Nord Stream 2” and the interests of Europeans in it) is neither logical nor in the interests of many people who, within the framework of the current universal thinking, are accustomed to monopolies and licentiousness, while others struggle to pay their bills. And so they are constantly intensifying their efforts to sabotage the project,” Putin said at the SPIEF plenary session.
The Nord Stream 2 project envisages the construction of two gas pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from the Russian coast through the Baltic Sea to Germany. It is scheduled for completion in 2019.
The pipeline will pass through the territorial waters or exclusive economic zones of the Russian Federation, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Germany. Of these countries, the project has only received a construction permit from Denmark.
