“One Belt, One Road” also helps create a commercial legal corridor for direct delivery from East to West with favorable terms for relevant parties.

“One Belt, One Road” is an initiative that China announced in 2013, aiming to create infrastructure and establish relationships between Eurasian countries. This strategy includes developing two key areas: the Silk Road Economic Belt and the Maritime Silk Road.

At the roundtable of the "One Belt, One Road" forum, President Putin pointed out that Chinese leaders show great ambition, but the tasks set are challenging and not easy to implement.

"The 'One Belt, One Road' strategy is a modern development trend, extremely necessary for all of us. This is the reason why Russia not only supports the project, but also actively participates in its implementation together with Chinese partners, and of course, with all other relevant countries," the Russian President affirmed.

Mr. Putin stressed that the integration of the "One Belt, One Road" idea and organizations such as the European Union (EU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has created a foundation for building greater relations between the two continents.

President Putin praised the idea of creating a mutually beneficial economic and trade development zone for Eurasia, calling it a “timely and important initiative.” According to the Russian leader, this idea reflects the common need for economic integration, not only in Eurasia, but all over the world.

The Russian president's support for Beijing's economic development program is seen by observers as a real challenge to America's strategy for rebuilding Europe after World War II - the Marshall Plan.

The "One Belt, One Road" International Cooperation Summit took place in Beijing on May 14-15, with the participation of 29 heads of state.
