"This issue has been discussed between the two sides for quite a long time, it was discussed in closed channels. I can say that an agreement has been reached on holding the summit, even on the time and place of this event," Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
Ushakov made it clear that the meeting would take place in a third country. Earlier, the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung reported that the summit venue could be Vienna.
Later, the publication Politico quoted informed sources as saying: Helsinki, Finland could be the place where the two presidents of Russia and the US will meet. Moscow and Washington have not commented on this information.
