During the construction process, there were many difficulties and obstacles, but with the strong direction of the Prime Minister: "only discuss progress, not retreat", "cross rivers to build bridges, cross fields to fill soil, cross mountains to dig mountains" to build the highway; the construction units with the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, working through Tet, through holidays"...By September 2, 2023, over 1,000 km of the North-South Expressway had been completed and put into use (the entire route is expected to be completed by 2025), helping to shorten travel time, reduce the load on National Highway 1A, promote socio-economic development, and maximize the potential and advantages of provinces and cities across the country.
