Through the exhibition "Back to the Heritage Land"...
(Baonghean) From April 5-20, 2012, in a series of activities to celebrate the National Tourism Year in the North Central Coast region, the exhibition "Back to the Heritage Land" took place in Thua Thien Hue. The images and artifacts that the Nghe An delegation displayed at the exhibition introduced a panoramic picture of the land and people of Nghe An to a large number of tourists and international friends. This is an opportunity for the Nghe An tourism industry to promote and attract tourists... On the occasion of this event, Nghe An Newspaper reporters had a conversation with Mr. Ta Quang Tam - Head of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism...
- Currently, in Hue City, the exhibition "To the Heritage Land" is taking place. Can you briefly introduce this exhibition?
- The exhibition "To the Heritage Land" opened on April 5 at the Hue City Museum of History and Revolution.
The exhibition consists of three parts: The exhibition of 1,000 antiques with the theme "Dong Son Culture - Brilliant ancient Vietnamese civilization", including Dong Son cultural musical instruments, weapons, production tools, household utensils, jewelry, burial objects, and Dong Son pottery.
The photo exhibition with the theme "Back to the Heritage Land" comprehensively introduces the strengths of culture and tourism in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam.
The exhibition of the North Central provinces includes: Hue Monuments Complex - World Cultural Heritage, Thanh Hoa Heritage, Nghe An Cultural Heritage, Hong Mountain - La River Heritage, Quang Tri Cultural Heritage - Nostalgic Tourism.
This is a cultural activity of practical significance in response to the National Tourism Year of the North Central Coastal Provinces and Hue Festival 2012.
- Participating in this exhibition, what content did Nghe An delegation bring to the exhibition? What is the purpose and meaning of participating in this exhibition?
- After receiving the official dispatch from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, we have made a plan to submit to the Provincial People's Committee, deployed the preparation work, proceeded to build the exhibition outline, selected images and artifacts to participate in the exhibition... Here, our delegation participated with two contents: First, "Nghe An - Integration and Development" introduces the rich and unique cultural heritage treasure with more than 1000 historical - cultural relics and many intangible cultural values created by Nghe An people in their long history...
The second part is the theme "Lotus Village - Homeland of President Ho Chi Minh" with images of Hoang Tru relic cluster, Lotus Village, and the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan.
In addition to 40 photos, we also bring to the exhibition publications (books, newspapers, music CDs) introducing Nghe An land, souvenirs and some special dishes...
Through the Exhibition "Back to the Heritage Land" to promote and introduce the cultural heritage treasure, strengths and tourism development potential of Nghe An province to domestic and international friends and tourists to promote cultural and tourism development.
- So, in your opinion, how is the relationship between cultural heritage and tourism development expressed? What is the practice in our province in exploiting heritage values to develop tourism?
- Our province is a locality with a rich number of heritages with over 1,300 relics, of which 300 have been ranked, many rich and unique festivals, bearing strong regional and ethnic imprints; it is the cradle of folk songs, of smooth and soulful melodies, currently being submitted to UNESCO for recognition as "world intangible heritage".
In recent times, the heritage system has contributed significantly to promoting tourism activities. Currently, although the heritage has been focused on promoting its value in terms of tourism, compared to its potential, the exploitation is still ineffective?!
Thank you!
