Senior North Korean official stops in Beijing on way back from US
(Baonghean.vn) - A senior North Korean official arrived in Beijing, China on June 3 on his way home after a rare visit to the US and meeting with President Donald Trump.

Kim Yong-chol, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, landed at Beijing Capital International Airport at around 8 p.m. on an Air China flight returning from New York.
According to the plan, Mr. Kim Yong-chol will stay overnight at the North Korean Embassy in Beijing before returning home tomorrow, June 4.
During his visit to the US, Mr. Kim Yong-chol had talks with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in New York to discuss preparations for the upcoming summit between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on June 12 in Singapore.
The senior North Korean official then traveled to Washington and visited Trump at the White House on June 1, delivering a personal letter from the North Korean leader to the US President. Kim Yong-chol is known to be the highest-ranking North Korean official to visit the US in the past 18 years.
