North Korean officials demanded that Malaysia hand over the body to them immediately, but Malaysia rejected the request, several Malaysian government sources said, according to Reuters.
No decision has been made on handing over Kim Jong-nam's body to North Korea, the sources added.
Local newspaper Star reported tonight that Kuala Lumpur Hospital has completed the autopsy on Kim Jong-nam.
Kim Jong-nam is the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. According to Malaysian police, Kim Jong-nam was grabbed from behind and sprayed with liquid in his face at Kuala Lumpur airport on February 13, while waiting to board a flight to Macau, China. Mr. Kim then suffered a severe headache, was taken to the medical room and died on the way to the hospital. A woman has been arrested in connection with his death.
